My friend Alex's Birthday is today and we decided to celebrate this past weekend since I'm out of town right now for a wedding.
We decided to meet in San Marcos since it's the halfway point for us. Morgan is further south in Buda so it wasn't too far for her.
I randomly went to yelp and searched for "Brunch in San Marcos, TX." Industry Restaurant was ranked #1! It had great reviews plus some awesome pictures of food and drinks. We decided to meet at Industry, and I'm so glad we did!
They're located off of 110 E Martin Luther King Dr Ste 126 in San Marcos.
On Sunday's they serve brunch from 11am - 3pm. ($2 mimosas and $8 carafes!)
Their bar area was really cool! I loved all of the decor and the way they designed the space.
I don't know about you, but I'm definitely a fan of food presentation and Industry didn't disappoint. Alex ordered the chilaquiles (Fried corn tortillas, fried egg, salsa, cheddar, cotija, avo crema, cilantro - and had pork added) It looked so good! I'll probably try this dish next time I visit.
I ordered the Porky's Pancakes (smoked pork, bacon, buttermilk pancakes, blackberry compote, bourbon maple syrup) It might sound weird, but it was SO good! All of the flavors really came together nicely. The sweet to salty ratio was just right. If you're looking for a laid back brunch spot in San Marcos, I would say Industry is your place!
