Mother's Day Gift Guide

Mother's Day is right around the corner! I've been thinking about my Mom and all my Mom friends who've been ROCK STARS through out the quarantine. I can't relate, but I hear you and see you, and want you to know that you are amazing.

The mom's who are working, homeschooling, cooking, keeping those tiny humans (or grown humans) ALIVE - all while trying to maintain your sanity is amazing in my book. Our mom's do so much for us and I know we all want to pamper them (her) on this special day.

If you're looking for a gift for your mom, step mom, wife, MIL, grandma, etc. - I have you covered. Today I'm sharing a Mother's Day gift guide featuring 13 items she's sure to love.

Recently Supergoop launched a new primer called "Glowscreen." I love their Unseen Sunscreen so much, that I knew I had to try this one! I'm always looking for ways to improve the appearance of my skin and when this product claimed to be hydrating + provide a natural glow; I knew it would be good. You take all of that and add SPF 40 and you have yourself a winning beauty product.

This product works in three ways: as a primer for makeup, on its own for all-over glow, or dabbed on the nose, cheeks, and temples for extra highlight.

Glowscreen has a rich combination of hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid, vitamin B3, and shea lavender.

While browsing the internet, I stumbled across The Little Market's website and fell in love. Not only do they have some really neat stuff on their website, but they are a nonprofit organization which provides income opportunities for women worldwide. Behind each product is a person who created it — and a story.

The company was founded/started by Lauren Conrad and Hannah Skvarla. Together, they have helped women living in poverty, survivors of trafficking and domestic violence, and people with disabilities.

I have a cleansing tool very similar to this one and LOVE it! It cleanses my face so well and removes all makeup, dirt, and oil.

This particular tool & brand uses a special technology to analyze the skin condition and moisture level in each zone of the face to create a personalized skin profile that is sent straight to the FOREO app. Pretty cool if you ask me!

There's nothing better than having your jewelry/accessiories organized. This jewelry stand is less that $25 and is perfect for necklaces, bracelets, and rings!

Another great find from The Little Market. They have many candle scents to choose from which was a big plus. This candle retails at $36. Each purchase supports female refugees at Prosperity Candle in the United States.

Jade rollers have become all the rage within the last year. I've had a few people ask me, do Jade rollers even work?? I believe they do.

Originating in ancient China as part of traditional remedies, jade rollers are used to massage the face and improve circulation.

A few benefits include:

  • By encouraging lymphatic drainage, this boosts the skin’s natural detoxification process.

  • By drawing away toxins, this allows a gentle toning and lifting effect.

  • The naturally cooling sensation helps to calm the skin, depuff, and soothe inflammation.

  • Facial massage is known to be a stress reliever. The daily ritual can relieve tension and act a small act of self-care in the day.

I think anything related to Joanna Gaines and 'fixer upper' will be a win in all the Mom's books. This cookbook is highly rated on Amazon, and I'm thinking I need to order one for Mom and for myself. ;)

This is my Mom's favorite perfume! It smells soooo good and lasts a long time.

I discovered this journal while browsing through Instagram one day. (it popped up as an ad) I thought it was really neat and a great way to practice gratitude.

The journal contains inspirational quotes, and tools to help you journal your dreams and goals. Being in a state of gratitude can really help shift your overall well being.

What mom wouldn't want this coffee mug?! lol.

This is hands down one of my favorite lip glosses! I wrote an entire blog post about them which you can find here.

As we age, our lips become thin, dry and wrinkled. The main cause of this is the breakdown of collagen.

Lip injections are expensive and most lip plumpers burn - so City Beauty sought out to create a formula that instantly plumps your lips without the expense or burn.

A few key ingredients:

  • Hyaluronic Acid

  • Oligopeptides (amino acids)

  • jojoba oilandylang ylang flower oil

My Mom is the queen of hand written 'to do lists.' I guess I picked up the habit because I make one everyday at work to keep me organized and on top of things. There's no greater feeling than marking a line through an item you've completed.

While this item might not seem like the best gift option - I believe it's great for those Mom's who hand write a 'to do' list everyday.
